Nick Martini, Senior Vice-President of Operations ▾

Nick Martini is Senior Vice President and oversees the daily operations of Northstar Bus Lines and American Student Transportation. Nick has worked in pupil transportation since 2009 serving in roles for school districts and private contractors. Nick’s role is to support each company’s leadership teams to provide service consistent with state and federal regulations, as well as customer expectations. Nick holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Accounting.

Nick is very active in state and national industry groups that support pupil transportation. He is dedicated to improving safety and exploring new opportunities to advance the overall performance and experience of school bus transportation. Nick is also very involved in school bus electrification efforts in Minnesota and is excited to understand the benefits and challenges in this emerging technology.

In his free time, Nick enjoys spending time with family and friends, boating, motorcycling and traveling.

Tyler Dubois, Terminal Manager ▾

Tyler R. DuBois is the Northstar Bus Lines’ Terminal Manager. Mr. DuBois holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Spanish from Bethel University. He has been with Northstar since 2018 and has a total of 6 years of experience in the bussing industry. In his free time, Mr. DuBois enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors.

Sue Flaherty, Hiring, Training and Safety Manager ▾

Sue Flaherty serves as the Hiring, Training, and Safety Manager for Northstar Bus Lines. Mrs. Flaherty joined the Northstar team in 2015 and is responsible for the hiring of new drivers, managing a team of seven trainers, testing and licensing new drivers, and ensuring that all safety protocols are in place and being followed. She is a licensed third party tester with the state of MN Dept of Public Safety, holds several Train the Trainer certificates as well as her school bus CDL. In her free time, Mrs. Flaherty enjoys working out, riding motorcycles with her husband, and spending time at her cabin with family and friends.

Cory Albers, Shop Manager ▾

Cory Albers is Northstar Bus Lines’ Shop Manager. Mr. Albers holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Minnesota State University Moorhead and has his school bus CDL. He has been with Northstar Bus Lines since 2001. Since then, he had taken charge of maintaining our fleet of 171 student transportation vehicles, managing all shop technicians and inventory, and facilities maintenance, and snow removal. In his spare time, Mr. Albers enjoys deer hunting, snowmobiling, construction projects, and building and driving classic cars.

Saundra Matchette, Marketing Manager ▾

Saundra Matchette is Northstar Bus Lines’ Marketing Manager. She graduated from Hamline University in 2015 with a Bachelor in Business Administration, and is now pursuing her passion in Marketing. She joined the Northstar team in 2021 and is responsible for internal and external marketing, communications, content creation and social media. Saundra currently resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota with her husband Anthony and family of 8 (including her dogs)! She enjoys Country Music, Running, Travel and Fishing. Most important, Football, Fantasy Football and the Vikings! SKOL!

Timothy Koch, Compliance Manager ▾

Timothy Koch is a member for Northstar Bus Lines’ dispatch and routing team. Mr. Koch holds a Bachelors of Science in Automotive Engineering Technology from Minnesota State University, Mankato. He has been working for Northstar since 2017, and has over 15 years of experience in the bussing industry. In his spare time, Mr. Koch enjoys spending time with his family, sports and crypto currency.

TRAECY HOSKINS, Accountant Specialist ▾

Traecy Hoskins serves as Northstar Bus Lines’ Accounting Specialist. Mrs. Hoskins is responsible for payroll, accounts payable, and employee benefits. She has recently just joined Northstar. She holds professional certificates in Financial Accounting from MCTC, and is a public notary. In her free time, Mrs. Hoskins enjoys golf, traveling, going to her niece and nephew's sporting events and her quiet time at home with her hubby, daughter and poodle.

Trish Elert, Charter Manager ▾

Trish Elert serves as Northstar Bus Lines’ Charter Manager. Ms. Elert joined the Northstar team in 2012, and is responsible for all charter trips, including school field trips and sporting events, as well as accounts receivable. In her spare time, Trish enjoys spending time with her daughter, cooking, baking, and bowling.

Jeene Sanchez, Transportation Manager/Dispatcher ▾

Jeene Sanchez is a member for Northstar Bus Lines’ dispatch and routing team. Mrs. Sanchez began her career with Northstar in 2018 and has worked in the bussing industry for 22 years. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, working on home projects, fishing and boating.

Kurt Schulte, Transportation Manager/Dispatcher ▾

Kurt Schulte is a member for Northstar Bus Lines’ dispatch and routing team. Mr. Schulte has been a part of the Northstar family since 2018, and has been working in the bussing industry for over 32 years. In his free time, Kurt enjoys watching sports.

Jesse Abraham, Transportation Manager/Dispatcher ▾

Jesse Abraham is our Northstar Dispatch Manager. Before dispatch, he was a School Bus Driver and Trainer.He's been with the company over 6 years now. Around Northstar he is known as a “Jack of all Trades.” Jesse is originally from Michigan, and graduated from Tiffin University with a Degree in Criminal Justice/Homeland Security. Jesse has twin daughters who are 23 years old in the Bachelor program for Registered Nursing. In his free time he enjoys fishing and collecting Baseball cards. Long term goals for Jesse include becoming Terminal Manager, and owning his own company as maybe a side profession. His motto is “Work Hard, Enjoy life Harder.”

Tim Haroldson, Transportation Manager/Dispatcher ▾

Tim Haroldson has been with Northstar since 2017. He loves the family atmosphere Northstar provides. Before joining our team, Tim worked in retail property management. Where he managed shopping malls. Like Northstar everyday was different. Tim has 3 kids and loves his family time. He also enjoys sports, fishing, boating and anything else on the water. One day Tim hopes to own a condo on the beach.

Keith Thompson, Transportation/Dispatch Manager ▾

Keith Thompson has been with Northstar/American for 5 years now. He recently took on the role of Dispatcher as of July. He is a licensed CDL Class B School Bus Driver. In his free time Keith likes to fish and be outside. One of his goals is to own a business of his own. One fun fact about Keith is that he works on his own vehicles.

Mark Kretzschmar, SYSTEMS ANALYST / PROJECT MANAGER ▾

Mark Kretzschmar is our new Systems Analyst / Project Manager for Northstar Bus Lines and American Student Transportation. He has 22+ years experience in the school bus industry working for Mounds View Public Schools and with other organizations public and private. Mark is married and has three children. In his spare time he enjoys walks outdoors, spending time with family/friends, and traveling.

Scott Kenyon, Transportation/Dispatch Manager ▾

Scott Kenyon is a Northstar Dispatcher who joined our team in 2023. Before embarking on his career with Northstar, Scott was a driver manager in a transportation company. Overseeing a fleet of 450 vehicles, he took charge of hiring, training, and managing drivers, ensuring that they delivered top-notch service in medical transportation.
During his free time, Scott enjoys the outdoors, he finds solace in hiking and camping, traveling, and exploring nature. Scott also has an affinity for reading American history, which he studied at the University of Minnesota. Scott plans to continue to grow, evolve and advance his career as a Northstar Dispatcher.

Cathy Mundinger, Transportation/Dispatch Manager ▾

Cathy Mundinger is a member of the Northstar Dispatch team. Cathy began her career with Northstar November 2023, has been working in the bussing industry for 5 years, and a dispatcher with various companies for 4 years. This summer, she will work towards her CDL Class B School Bus Certification.
In her spare time, she enjoys umpiring adult slow pitch softball, being a tournament director for numerous softball tournaments, and RVing and fishing with her husband Scott. She has two sons, 23 and 24 years olds, and three step-sons, 20, 31 and 35 years old.
