Great Leadership Makes Great Teams

This year, Northstar Bus Lines Terminal Manager, Chelaine Crego, received the 2022 Holly Hoglund Klein Award. The prestigious award is given each year at the Train The Trainer conference to school bus drivers and managers. Holly Hoglund Klein, Hoglund Bus Company owner, was tragically killed in a car crash in March of 2015. She tirelessly supported women in the School Bus Industry. To honor her, the Holly Hoglund Klein Memorial Award is given yearly to a woman who has thrived in the transportation industry.

Chelaine has been with Northstar/American since 2011 and has progressively climbed the ranks. From a Driver, to Trainer, to Charter Manager and now Terminal Manager, Chelaine has done it all. Chelaine’s dedication to her work, our terminal, and school bus drivers everywhere have greatly influenced those around her. It doesn't matter what company you drive for when it comes to Chelaine; she goes to bat for ALL school bus drivers. She was nominated by a record number of 5 people for this year's award, and she deserved it.

When Chelaine was presented with the award, she had the love and support from her husband and her team. Everyone showed up in Team Chelaine shirts and tie-dyed bucket hats. All are proud of our terminal manager and are happy to be working with such a passionate leader.
